La Jolla Weekend

We got our pictures back from our fabulous weekend in La Jolla with Moxie's Sis and her fam and the weekend after that with them in LA. Here are some of the highlights:

This is my adorable niece, Sophie, in the sweater that I made her last year. It's Gansey Layette from a back issue of Interweave Knits. The yarn is Baruffa Maratona, which is a dream to work with. I made two of these sweaters, since I liked them so much. The other went to my brother's best friend's new baby. Naturally, you can't see the sweater very well in the picture, but that's okay, because the girls look cute. Over the weekend, Sophie's mom learned to knit, too, so she'll no doubt be spoiled with knitting goodness before you know it.

This is a picture of the seals (sea lions?) at La Jolla. Very cool to see:
