What an adorable skirt/swirt. You are a brave (and very fit) lady -- horizontal stripes and a mini in one shot. Congrats on a great pattern. Thanks for the adaptations for those of us with "beefy" thighs.

Thanks guys!

It's a really easy pattern, and really simple to adapt. If you want to make it longer, simply do the ribbing and then keep knitting for a couple of inches before you start the shaping. The pattern will work for any fiber (though be aware that linen and cotton will have extra drape and will not hold their shape as well as say, a wool or man-made fiber). It will have a very different look depending on what material you use. You could also change it by adding cables or other texture. There's so little shaping that it makes changes pretty simple. If you size it by your hip measurement, it should work out fine!

I love it. I don't often wear skirts but that's just a little too cute for words. Congrats on another great pattern.

Congrats! I was excited to finally find out what it was you were making with that Esprit yarn. Looks very neat. I'm not wearing my Esprit tank very much, maybe I'll convert it! Fun idea. :)

Very nice. You are also quite the model =)
Is lengthening this swirt, dooable? I like ming just above knee or below it (I have beefy thighs =( )

Congrats on the Swirt! It is super cute and very creative. Also I love your Pia. I have really been wanting to make that tank, but I never end up liking the the fit on anything I make for myself...Maybe someday...
