Still Spinning

GoFlyAKite5165.jpg Go Fly A Kite Merino Top from Amy Boogie's Spunky Eclectic shop

Merino singles spun on my Cascade Cougar spindle and Andean plied upon itself using my Cascade St. Helens spindle. Plying does hide a multitude of sins. Read more here. Good times.

Your hank looks fabulous! I am just getting ready to spin some chocolate covered cherries that I just had to have when Amy had a sale a ways back that I just couldn't resist. I am thinking of using it for a hat for Sasha.

Plying is great in my books. It is so much fun bringing your singles together to make yarn, especially with the handpainted roving because now you get to see the colour combinations. Heaven :D

I remember the first time I tried spinning on a wheel. Just like you I *knew* I had to have one. Now the fun part - picking and choosing. If you get a chance try try try before you buy. Then you can see if you like a single treadle or a double.

I've been so busy with the move that I'm just catching up on your blog. I'm looking forward to seeing your Hawaii pics. Sounds like you had a blast. Thanks for the review of Cast On! I will definitely check it out.

Your skein does look great! Plying helps us to see the a better end result and also show that we CAN make yarn...yarn we can use! Nice work and keep it up.

Oooh, it looks so sproingy and soft. Also looks very even. Glad you are still spinning. The only roving I left out when packing was my bellwether sampler.

So pretty! It looks like it's really soft and cushy too.
