She is (was?) Having Fun....

The pink and blue skeins are from the week before last - the yellow one is the Lemon Sherbet, which you've seen before. The pink and blue are Indigo Moon Brushstroke Batts - alpaca, merino & silk - procured for me by Cara, with guidance from Julia FC at last year's Rhinebeck festival. They are delectible. This week there will be very little spinning or anything else - work, work, work! But, in honor of the upcoming weekend in Rhinebeck, I thought you might like to see the before and after shots.

Before.

After!

Cara, would it be too boring to ask for more of the same? I love this stuff!

I cruised by your site to check out your spinning links, and I just have to say - again - DAMN you made some purty yarn!

Wow, the roving is gorgeous, and it looks even better all spun up! Great job. It makes me want to get my wheel out and spin today...we just moved though, and my spinning chair hasn't arrived yet with our furniture...ugh.

Now that's some squooshable yarn, if ever I saw any! Your spinning is getting exponentially more and more drool-worthy. I love it!

What a great photo shoot of a wondrous transformation. It really is a bit incredible, isn't it--the movement from one form to another via the human touch!

hi julia. i wanted to say lovely yarn that you have been showing...the sheer amount you seem to be able to produce is amazing. also, thanks so much for the thoughtful and encouraging comment you left at my blog. it was totally unexpected and i wanted to email you, but have no idea how to do that so thought i would leave a slightly more public thanks in this arena. the world of blogs, especially the knitting ones, never fails to amaze me. anyway, spin on, i'll be checking back to see what comes of all these trials and rovings.

Aah, the primary palette. So pretty. I love, love, love the vibrant blue. Will you be knitting something out of the three of them?

You are a demon on that wheel! Do you even knit anymore?

Lovely, lovely, lovely!!

Hmm... you could do some color work with that. It's a muted primaries colorway. Very pretty.

Love it! Something to aspire to...Can't wait to see (and touch) in person!

Mmmmm, yummy. They make me think about sorbet. It's nice to have connections, huh?

Oooo, ahhhh...you're spinning so well!!

Posted by: margene at October 9, 2006 08:14 AM

Yum! It looks like a bowl of sherbet!

Your spinning looks great! I picked up some Indigo Moon at NH S&W, but haven't spun it yet -- thanks for the inspiration!

Beautiful! I'm so happy to see the before and after shots! YAY!

Of course it's not boring to ask for more of the same. Do me a favor - email me the vendors? I forgot already. Thanks!

PS - and this time I have to remember to get myself some! I didn't buy ANY fiber last festival.
