Lunch Break in the Garden

For about a week and a half now, I've worked 15 to 16 hour days with very few breaks. (It's finally over! Yay!) And I've re-learned some things about myself in that time. Most importantly, that I just do not have the stamina for those hours on a sustained basis. I'm definitely not in college anymore. I've also been reminded of how wonderful my life generally is, even when I work 10 hours a day, 5 days a week. Last Saturday, Moxie and Zosh stopped by my office to bring me lunch, and we went out in the garden for about 45 minutes to enjoy it. It was a wonderful break. I'm so lucky to work in the setting that I do, where it's not a problem for your husband and dog to come visit, and to have a wonderful husband and a kooshie puppy to do that visiting. I'm very spoiled.

ROFL... I have always been bad with names :) I did mean the pup, not your hubby!

What an incredible garden--it's good that you can decompress right outside your office. I think less parking lots would be good for everybody!

OMG, what a beautiful garden! Where is that?

Stunning. Wow. Would live in that garden if I could.

What a lovely place! I'm headed down toward your neck of the woods in a few weeks, and I had been dreading it. But now I'm excited!

heehee...your reply made me laugh. i lurve the nasturiums (i think that is what they are). you can eat them in salad if they are free of any weird growing additives. isn't spring just divine, i am aching to get out there...soon. i'll let you know about april dates...i see the doc tuesday. yay!

Moxie is a full-bred homo sapien. Or at least that is what I was told when I signed on for this marriage thing.

Zosh (Zosia) is also a pure breed - an East German German Shepherd from working rather than show lines. She's the best.

Moxie's not all bad, either, though from time to time I have considered returning him to the breeder.

J

I'm lucky to work at a nursery, so we have beautiful grounds as well... but ours are nowhere near as colorful as yours right now! Everything's still dormant and brown. Seeing your pictures makes me excited for what's to come!!

btw... what breed is your Moxie?

Very lucky indeed. so cute - both of them.

That looks like pure heaven to me... Just bliss. :)

What a gorgeous place to work (or at least take a break from work)! I'm quite envious!

And I'm sure you deserve every bit of the spoiling the hubby and puppy provide!

I don't know why it never clicked before that Zosia was a black German Shepherd, maybe because when we adopted ours, Holly, she was already a little over a year old, so I never saw her as a puppy. But these latest photos really remind me of her! They're gorgeous dogs, aren't they?

God, what a great garden. I just love it. But what's more important is YAY, a break from the grind. It's going to feel like a vacation to work 40 hours a week.

Ummm, nice setting for a work break!

Oh what a beautiful garden, dog and boy. But do you really mean that's the garden of your office? (That is, it's not a city park?) If so, that's one glorious place to work :)
