I have followed your blog for a while from here Downunder. Your knitting and designs are quite simply beautiful and your latest is stunning. I did want ask a question about one of your older knits. Did you add any length to your Audrey? - I am also knitting it (somewhat belatedly) in Jaeger extra fine merino and wanted it a little longer than shown in the magazine - yours looks perfect. I usually knit XS but it was looking a bit small so wondered about upsizing - does it stretch at all? I hope you don't mind me picking your brains.

Hi Leone - I did knit my Audry a bit long (though not on purpose! I underestimated the effect of the rib!) You should definitely wash and block a swatch to check what the growth will be, because the sweater will grow - I did my initial blocking with steam and had less growth, but as soon as Audrey got a real bath she grew even more. If you take all of that into account, though, you'll end up with a wonderful sweater. I still wear mine a lot!

That is HOT! It really looks sultry with the 'morning' face :o) Not much else can be said.

well, you look so beautiful in your sexy nighty, wish my body shape was as gorgeous as yours! I thought about using my knitting machine for the st st part of this beauty, thanks for your ideas. short rows are a doddle on the knitting maching as long as you can set your carriage to hold, which I reckon you can if you can do slipstitch. CAR pull out all but one of the stitches you need to hold from the left hand side (always the side oposite the carriage direction)slide carriage across until it has gone past the held stitches then simply pull out one more and knit back and this wraps the stitch. It's worth practicing this holding technique but it does become second nature in the end! Hope this helps....Marianne
