That skirt is great! It looks awesome on you! I think you have inspired me to try to knit it!

I recently bought some yarn for this skirt! So pretty!

Posted by: Lolly at May 30, 2007 07:58 AM

Hi recently found your blog. Really enjoy reading it. The skirt looks great on you. Its even greater to see people wearing knitted skirts again. I've just designed one for www.knitonthenet.com which you might like. You would certainly look good in it.

Will keep reading
best wishes

OMG...it's gorgeous and elegant!!!

Looking good! You're making me rethink knitted skirts *and* wedge shoes. What would you think of the skirt in linen yarn?

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Hi Kathleen,
I think linen would be lovely. Jody is making the skirt in a linen-multi and it's gorgeous so far. The only caution I'd put out there is that both linen and cotton can be hard on the bum. If you wear your knit skirts to work, as I do, you may want a little "protection" - I'm personally considering Spanx Power Panties.
wow this outfit is sexy. i am crazy about knitted skirts these days and one of my favourite designers here in denmark made a fab one. it is a pleat skirt with cabling. check in on www.rigettaklint.com it is worth it, if you wish. you look gorgeous.
I've seen you in it before [drooled], I have the yarn and I am stuck finsishing up other knits. How do you wash it? Dry clean?
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Hi Natalie - It depends on the yarn that you use. Mine is 100% cotton, so I wash it the same way that I blocked it - in hot water and Eucalan. Then you just pin it out and allow it to dry flat.

Way cute. I've been tempted to knit a skirt lately...I'm debating the recent Indigo one in IK.

You are a shoe maven! The skirt is fab, as well:)

Love the entire outfit. I'm not a shoe person per-se but I love those shoes! Did you make the quilt on the bed? That's pretty gorgeous too.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Thanks Susan, I helped to make the quilt. It was an engagement present from a dear friend - she taught a group of us to quilt and they made me the quilt as an engagement gift. There's a post about it and info on the pattern in the comments here.
Love the shoes. Unfortunately, wedge shoes=much danger for me. But the skirt is perfect and very, very covet-worthy!
Posted by: Laurel at May 23, 2007 06:48 PM
As you should -- it's gorgeous on you!
Thank you ladies! I got the shoes on sale at J. Crew. They no longer carry this suede version, but there is a more summery denim version which is nearly identical. If you can stand to wait, I bet they'll go on sale, too. I got mine for substantially less. We're all about the bargain here at chez MOW. Don't say I never enabled you!
Ditto everyone's comments on the outfit, and you know I noticed those super cute wedgie slingbacks right away! Love them!
