May 04, 2008Definitely Tomten![]() Merino "Burning Bush" 2-Ply and Baby Alpaca 2-Ply. Baby bliss! Work has kept me extremely busy, and when I'm typing away at my keyboard so much, one of the last things I want to do in my free time is type away at my keyboard (or read anything). When I have had a free moment, I have either crocheted a pansy or spun, spun, spun. As a result, the handspun that I talked about in this post is finally all spun up, and some of it is even knit up. No time for any more designing than I already have going on here, so it's definitely Tomten. Plus EZ's designs are all somehow perfect for handspun, don'tcha think? ![]() Handspun and the bottom half of the Tomten Jacket. Babies seem just impossibly small! LMAO - babies seem impossibly small, until you get right up to your due-date week when the realization that you are Most Definitely Going To Have To Squeeze This BIG Baby O-U-T finally and truly hits you in a way that it just somehow never did before. Then they all suddenly seem the size of Andre the Giant - and you start eying your spouse with utter loathing, as his mother tells you for one last time about how "He was such a HUGE baby! Almost 10 pounds! It's genetic, you know - baby size, that is...." But then everything is said & done, and the first time you go to dress your little bundle you realize that really, honestly, this has got to be the smallest baby on the face of the earth EVER - and how can you do something as brutal as put a t-shirt over his/her head without inflicting severe and permanent damage??? It's all relative. :) Posted by: Susan B at May 6, 2008 08:14 AMgorgeous! it makes me want to start spinning, and make another baby!
